Course Description

An examination of animal viruses, particularly human pathogens, with an emphasis on viral replication processes and mechanisms of viral pathogenesis. Topics may include viral structure, methods of viral cultivation, manipulation and analysis, replication of DNA and RNA viruses in individual cells, and infection and pathogenesis within a host.
