Course Description

Introduces students to the main business disciplines of accounting, finance, marketing, and management. Develops the types of critical thinking and collaboration skills that are essential to running any business. Using a mix of case studies and lecture, students have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the strategic business environment and ethical decision-making. Introduces career prospects for each of the primary business areas (such as Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) and basic business terminology. Office productivity software (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation) will be used by the faculty and students for calculation and communication in the form of presentations and essays.
