Assessment and Instructional Design for Access, Equity and Student Success II

Course Description

Builds upon the foundations introduced in EDUC 302 to provide opportunities for the practical application of instructional design and assessment. Students are asked to design learning experiences, combined with both formal and informal assessments, to focus on the relationship between assessment and principles/practices for standards-based instruction and to create access to content in order to promote equity and student success. Through fieldwork, students have the opportunity to evaluate, select, develop, and adapt materials to teach and assess a classroom of diverse learners. Technical skills and descriptive statistics are applied to describe patterns of learning and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of their instructional design.
