Course Description

Investigates the impact of human population growth and the energy sources used on the Earth's terrestrial and aquatic resources, environmental health and toxicology, global climate change, and biodiversity loss. Studies the science behind each issue, and its historical foundation, and its political, social, and cultural dimensions. Within this context, students may explore possible solutions. Students will have the opportunity to consider how to create sustainable cities that support human societies while protecting the Earth's resources.
