Course Description

Explores research methodologies in public health and medicine, with a focus on both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Provides an overview of the fundamental elements of research design, research ethics, the IRB review process, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination. Students will be offered opportunities to conduct literature reviews, engage in critical assessment of various health research studies, and apply theoretical frameworks to address research questions. Culminates in the development of a research proposal in which students choose a research topic of interest and an effective methodology.
