Course Description

Offers topics in mechanics: motion, Newton's laws, energy, conservation laws, collisions, gravitation, fluid behavior, oscillations, and waves. Thermodynamics. This is a non-calculus based course. Note that PHYS 111 does not satisfy the prerequisites for upper-level physics courses. Students who are or might be interested in further physics courses should take PHYS 150 and PHYS 160 instead.
