Explores the foreign policies of different countries, focusing on how various states approach international relations, diplomacy, security, and economic cooperation. Compares and contrasts the foreign policy strategies of major and emerging powers. Examines how historical legacies, political institutions, leadership, economic conditions, and cultural factors shape foreign policy decisions. Students will have the opportunity to gain the analytical skills necessary to understand how states navigate global challenges such as climate change, terrorism, trade disputes, human rights, and shifting geopolitical power.
