Course Description
An introduction to the theory, process, and techniques of set, lighting, and costume design. Learn how to create and express information in 3 dimensions using, established drafting practices, creating scale models, drawings, and light plots. Painting and rendering techniques will be explored in costume and set renderings. Includes principles and dynamics of design, the development of a design concept, script analysis from the designer's perspective, and color theory.
