Course Description

Students work carefully and in-depth to develop the unique qualities necessary for expert stage performance, beginning with relaxation, balance, alignment and coordination, and extending to sophisticated use of the physical instrument to interpret a variety of characters and styles. Dedicated techniques such as the Feldenkrais and/or Alexander Methods may be studied and applied, offering each participant an individualized approach to body awareness and forming the "mind-body" connection necessary for excellence in dramatic performance. Involves both personalized exercises and the physical interpretation dramatic material.
