Course Description

An intensive laboratory experience specifically focusing on the development of an ensemble musical performance, whether an original work or a cabaret style performance comprised of scenes and solos from musical theatre repertoire. Because collaboration is central to the creation of musical theatre, students will have the opportunity to work as an ensemble throughout the semester, focusing on particular roles (performer, director, choreographer, composer, designer, dramaturg, etc.) and culminating with a presentation of works-in-progress at the end of the term. Instructor approval required for registration.
