Course Description

Explores the intersections of nature and gender through a critical lens. Examines the construction of discourses around sex, gender, wilderness and the "natural world" and their implications in politics, popular culture, medical settings and understandings of desire, rights and justice. Readings are based on decolonial feminist theory, science and technology studies, queer theory, environmental humanities, and feminist cultural productions.
