Intended for students who have not fulfilled their first-year writing requirement through the Drew Seminar, and for those who have but want to continue to strengthen their writing skills. Engages in an intensive study of scholarly communication, including the construction and organization of arguments and the ethical and effective use of sources. Allows students to read and write in varying genres. Aids students in developing a metacognitive awareness of their own writing practices and how they intersect with the expectations of an academic readership through regular reflective writing.
