Course Description

Mentored research, scholarship, or creative projects beyond the traditional classroom experience in which the student defines the question and approach of the topic to be studied. Under the supervision of biology, neurosciences, or RISE faculty, upper-level students have an opportunity to design and execute an independent project in biology, including laboratory or field research. A one hour weekly research seminar meeting is required. Interested students should meet with a faculty member to plan the project and establish the amount of credit prior to registration. Course may be repeated. Signature of instructor required for registration.
