Undertakes in-depth study of the theory and practice of regression, one of the most commonly used techniques in the data scientist’s toolkit. Covers methods of regression analysis including simple and multiple regression, explanation, prediction, diagnostics, model selection, and models with categorical predictors. Uses the software package R extensively in labs and assignments and prepares students for the subsequent use of R in other classes throughout the program.
