Course Description

Focuses on what authors have had to say about their craft. In addition to novels, poems, plays, and essays, most major literary figures, at some point in their careers, have also reflected on the art of writing. Texts ranging from critical studies to book reviews, interviews, and letters will be read alongside primary texts by those same authors. Students have the opportunity to learn from the masters, both in theory and in practice.
