Drew University’s Student Managed Investment Fund (aka “The Fund”) class is open to juniors and seniors interested in investments and portfolio management. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience doing investment research, portfolio management, and performance attribution. Develop familiarity with using Bloomberg to perform investment analysis and work in collaboration with others on portfolio recommendations. Drew’s SMIF participates in the CFA Institute’s Student Managed Investment Fund Nexus community, which provides resources and opportunities for aspiring investment managers. Each student is asked to present at least one investment recommendation (buy/sell) for Drew’s Student Managed Investment Fund each semester. Students who have completed FIN 204 may be eligible to register with permission of instructor.
