Covers many of the mathematical techniques often encountered in theoretical physics. The core topics are: complex numbers, linear algebra, eigenvectors and eigenvalues, Fourier series and transforms, series solutions of differential equations, separation of variables and partial differential equations. Other topics may be covered at the discretion of the instructor.
