Course Description
Introduces Bayesian statistics, a specific and important approach for understanding probability and gaining information from data. Uses examples from several of the many disciplines and industries in which Bayesian statistics are used. Focuses on the concepts and implementation of Bayesian statistics. Illustrates Bayes Theorem, explains how to incorporate prior beliefs in statistical models, and uses the computer to make statistical inference via simulation and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods.
