I. Environmental Justice Core (4 credits)

Complete the following:

II. Electives Courses (16 credits)

Select 16 credits of the following:

  • course - Native North American Cultures

  • course – Innovation Action Lab

  • course - Climate Change and Global Sustainability

  • course - Agroecology

  • course - Indigenous Environments: Literature and Film

  • course - Environmental Writing and Eco-Criticism

  • course - Nature Writing

  • course - Graphic Lit and Environment

  • course - Environment, Society and Sustainability

  • course - Topics in Environmental Humanities, when topic is appropriate

  • course - Environmental Justice Literature

  • course - Food, Justice, and U.S. Literature

  • course - Environmental Justice

  • course – Advanced Topics in Environmental Science, when topic is appropriate

III. Immersive Experience (0 credits)

Environmental Justice minors must acquire hands-on experience with environmental justice practices. This requirement may be met through relevant Academic Internships, Drew International Seminars, other study abroad programs with environmental justice components, civic engagement and volunteer experiences, Changemaker experiences, and appropriate independent research at Drew or elsewhere (excluding literature research projects). Immersive experiences must be approved in advance by the Program Director.
