Program Description
A 64 credit program that prepares teachers to meet the challenges of diverse learners in a globalized, technology-driven world. Drew’s program leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with New Jersey teacher certification in elementary (K-6) education. Candidates must already have an Associate’s Degree. This program is only available to paraprofessional working in New Jersey and sponsored by a partnering school district.
Teacher candidates learn to apply their interdisciplinary knowledge and pedagogical competencies to effectively educate all students and meet their academic, social and developmental needs. Students merge theory and practice through the study of human development, pedagogy and educational policy.
