Note: At least 16 credits must be at the intermediate or upper level.
I. Introductory (12 credits)
Complete all of the following:
course - Economic Principles: Microeconomics
course - Introduction to Museum Studies and Cultural Management
And one of the following courses:
course - Cultural Diversity: Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics
course - Survey of Art: Ancient and Medieval
course - Survey of Art: Early Modern, Modern, and Contemporary
course - Ecology and Evolution
course - Diversity of Life: Animals, Plants, and Microbes
course - Great Challenges in Environmental Science
Another 100 level course in a discipline relevant to Museum Studies, with consultation with the program director.
II. Administration and Communications (4 credits)
Complete 4 credits, selected from the following:
course - Digital Imaging
course - Market Strategy & Marketing
course - The Non-Profit Sector
course - Data Science: Introduction, History, and Case Studies
course - Business Communications OR course - Rhetorics of the Workplace/Professional Communication
course - Topics in Archival Studies
course - Documentary Practice
course - Business Ethics
course - Organizational Psychology & Leadership
course - The Sociology of Management
Note: Students who choose course as one elective must be sure that they have at least 16 additional credits at the intermediate or upper level.
III. Internship (2-4 credits)
